Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous Quality Assurance & Control Engineer to ensure that our products and services meet the highest quality standards. The QA/QC Engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing quality control procedures, conducting quality audits, and resolving quality-related issues.
Job Responsibility:
- Develop and implement quality control procedures and guidelines
- Conduct regular quality audits to identify areas for improvement
- Investigate and resolve quality issues in a timely manner
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure quality standards are met
- Provide training and support to staff on quality procedures
- Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards
Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
- Proven experience in quality assurance and control
- Strong knowledge of quality control processes and procedures
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO) are a plus
Skills Description
Requirements:
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/ Relevant Subject
Education qualification obtained from North America, West Europe, Australia
Chartered Membership in relevant professional body (Chartered QA/QC Engineer)
preferred and would be an advantage
Physically fit to enter and work in confined spaces and the ability to undertake
competency assessment to level required (essential)
Review the annual Quality Plan submitted by Framework Contractors and ensure
compliance with organisation policies, processes, procedures and standards related
to quality.
Carry out necessary inspection on Framework Contractors work activities to ensure
the Framework Contractor's compliance with all contractual obligations related to
quality.
Review Inspection and Test Plan submitted by Framework contractors and monitor
its proper implementation Framework Contractors and raise development
requirements.
Support DNO&M Internal Audits and conduct Second Party (BAU) Audit
(Framework Contractor's Audit)
Review Contractors QA/QC Reports, Non Conformities (NCR) / Observation and
inspection records.
Coordinate with Framework Contractors to ensure the final resolution of Technical
Query (TQ) / Concession Requests (CR) related to any Non Conformities (NCR) in
DNO&M Catchment Zone.
Conduct Rainy Season preparedness Audit.
Carry out the new assets/Projects handing over inspections to assure the
compliance with the Quality requirements & the contract clauses.
Carry out spares inspection to ensure compliance with relevant quality standards,
project specifications and DNO&M requirements and witness Critical inspection /
testing.
Minimum of 10 years' work experience in a relevant field
Experience of implementing and maintaining QMS to ISO 9001 standard, ISO 50001
standard
Experience of working in a multidisciplinary Organisation preferably in the Middle
East
Extensive knowledge of Health and Safety Policies and Procedures
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages and in particular Microsoft Excel 2010
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English is essential
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in Arabic would be an advantage
Raise Non Conformities (NCR) reports as and when required.
Ensure to maintain Quality Assurance Policy, Manual, Procedures and ITP on the
server.
Coordinate with Area engineer, Framework contractor and integrated department
with respect to QA/QC Activities.
Provide expert technical QA/QC advice and guidance in relation to complex, high
risk and/or new cross-functional work activities to ensure requirements are
satisfied.
Promote quality achievement and performance improvement across the
organisation. Identify and promote relevant quality training needs.
Ensure compliance with new business processes, (including but not limited to those
associated with EDAM/EMS, Frameworks), ensure redundant/duplicate activities in
assigned area are discontinued and provide recommendations for improvement.
Ensure adherence to Health and Safety Policy and Procedures and comply with any
new work instructions.
Raise any issues that require consultation to the Engineering Advisor / Expert for
advice on actions/ recommendations.
Perform other duties/ tasks as required
